The 2005 Bowman cards had a black border, game-action photo, and the largest team name lettering on any football card printed. The players names were in large silver foil letters below the photo. Bowman stayed with the design which printed the veterans cards with a red color theme and the rookie cards with a blue color theme. The one exception to this was Romeo Crennel's card. Even though this was Crennel's rookie card it had the red color scheme on it. As had been the modern Bowman cards style, the backs of the cards kept the "Bowman Briefing" information about each player. The backs also had the same photo as the one used on the front of the card. The rookie cards in the Browns team set include cornerback Antonio Perkins, quarterback Charlie Frye, wide receiver Braylon Edwards, and Head Coach Romeo Crennel.
