Cleveland Browns 1992 Action Packed Football Cards
(Complete Set)
Action Packed Company created and issued football cards from 1990-1997. Pinnacle Brands acquired Action Packed in 1995 and Donruss/Playoff Brands acquired Pinnacle in 1998. These cards were embossed photos of players in action during a game and were twice as thick as traditional football cards. The backs of the cards include an "Action Note" which describes the play shown on the front of the card. The 1992 Browns Team Set includes one rookie card, Stanford running back "Touchdown Tommy Vardell". The Stanford Cardinal coach gave him that nickname after he scored four touchdowns against Notre Dame in 1990. Browns head coach Bill Belichick drafted him in the first round with the 9th overall pick. |
