In 1991 NFL Properties, Inc. came out with its own set of football cards. These cards were unlike other cards by the fact that they weren't game-oriented. There are no player statistics on the backs nor do most of the players wear their uniforms. The pictures on the fronts of the cards look like modeling photos since the players are wearing the NFL casual clothing line. The backs of the cards have the players talking about some aspect of their philosophy on football and life. There was an additional 7-card set called the Spirit Collection which consisted of seven players' wives. The Browns team set is notable for having the rookie card of Bill Belichick, Paul Warfield (who had retired from football years before), and Bernie Kosar's wife Babette. I also own Babette Kosar's autographed card. NFL Properties placed an embossed seal of authenticity on the back of their autographed cards (you can see it in the gray part of the lower left hand corner of Babette Kosar's card below). This set was one of the earliest football cards to offer autographs which might explain why there was no particular space on the card for the signature. Mrs. Kosar signed hers in the tight space between the edge of the card and her portrait.
