Cleveland Browns 1991 Pinnacle Football Cards
(Complete Set)
In 1991 Score introduced its first premium quality set of football cards called Pinnacle. Two years later Score would become Pinnacle Brands. In 1998 Pinnacle went out of business and Playoff (later Donruss Playoff) acquired their brand names and would produce a set of Score football cards to the present day. The inaugural Pinnacle set was uniquely designed in that the fronts of the cards had both a full-length game-action photo and a head photo of the player. The front and the back of each card had a white border and a black background. The back of the card was nicely designed with great symmetry. The player's name was printed across the top along with the card number. Below the name down the left side of the card was a helmet logo, player's info, and biography. On the right side was a full-length photo of the player on a black background. Below that were the card-wide season and career statistics of the player and below that was the card company's brand names and copyright notice. The Browns Team set included Ed King's rookie card and a "Sideline" card of Stephen Braggs talking about his activities off the field. |
