There were only two vintage cards of Ernie Davis produced while he was alive. A 1961 NU college football card above left and his 1962 Topps rookie card above right. Panini has produced modern cards of Ernie including some jersey cards seen below. The blue jersey swatch in these cards came from the 1962 College All-Star game for which he was selected to play in but may not have actually participated. The jersey was blue with red stars on a white background on the shoulders. He did actually wear the jersey for a pre-game photo shoot. Here are two articles on the auctioning of his jersey by his family. Panini won the auction with a $29,000 bid and made a video showing the purchased jersey seen below.
