  • Earnest Byner returns to the Browns
  • On September 4, 1994 in the first game of the season Browns' extra-point holder Tom Tupa scores the first two-point conversion in NFL history on a fake kick
  • Eric Turner co-leads the NFL with 9 interceptions including a 93 yard interception for a touchdown in a 32-0 victory over the Arizona Cardinals
  • Matt Stover leads the NFL in Field Goals Made percentage by converting 26 field goals in 28 attempts for a 92.857% average
  • Eric Metcalf returns punts of 92 yards and 73 yards in two victories over the Bengals
  • After the 1994 season ends the Browns trade Eric Metcalf to the Atlanta Falcons
  • Under the coaching of defensive coordinator Nick Saban the Browns Defense is ranked 1st in the NFL with only 204 points allowed and results in an 11-5 record
